Transfer of undeclared containers from Port of Vuosaari to the logistics area – Changes from 1st March

Transfer of undeclared containers from Port of Vuosaari to the logistics area

The transfer of undeclared containers from the Port of Vuosaari to the logistics area will change from the beginning of March. After that date, there will be two applicable procedures in parallel, when moving containers to temporary warehouses:

1. If the entry summary declaration/arrival notification has been lodged in the new UTU TSD system, the transfer must also be made in the UTU TSD system, UTU system or Transit system.
2. If the entry summary declaration/arrival notification has been lodged in the AREX system, the transfer can be made using the simplified procedure.

What does this mean for SA-TU temporary warehouses?

If the entry declaration has been lodged in accordance with option 2, the current procedure will continue to apply for the time being.

If, on the other hand, option 1 applies and the transfer is to take place under the transit procedure, SA-TU reserves the right to make transit declarations for these containers. This means that SA-TU will not accept transit declarations made by other parties into its temporary warehouse, but that all transit operations will have to be carried out by the SA-TU.

The changes will enter into force on 1 March 2023 and will only apply to undeclared containers in the Port of Vuosaari for port transfers (Arrival numbers beginning SAV and SMV).
